LoneStar Home Watch FAQ

What is Home Watch?

Home Watch is the visual inspection of an unoccupied home or property looking for obvious issues. LoneStar Home Watch regularly checks your property for obvious issues, giving you peace of mind while you’re away.

Are you a house sitter service?

No. We don’t live in your home. Instead, we provide scheduled, professional visits to inspect and protect your property, following a detailed checklist.

What type of reporting can I expect from you?

After each visit, you’ll receive a digital report with photos, sent by email or through our secure app. You will receive communication each time we visit your home. Our software effectively communicates every aspect of our Home Watch Services from reports to payments.

Does my neighborhood watch program offer the same protection?

Neighborhood watch programs are passive and don’t inspect your home in detail. We provide thorough, inside-and-out inspections and proactive problem-solving.

Do you provide key holder services?

Yes! We securely manage your keys and can coordinate access for service appointments, deliveries, or emergencies.

Can you coordinate with contractors working on my home?

Absolutely. We can provide access and stay on-site while repairs or deliveries are made. We have a list of vendors, or we can use yours.

How will I be notified if there’s a problem?

You’ll receive a detailed report with photos after each visit. If urgent action is required, we’ll contact you immediately and help coordinate solutions.

Can you help with home maintenance?

We offer general services through our Concierge services. The services are available for a fee based on your requests. For bigger jobs that we don’t handle, we can coordinate access on your behalf.

What areas do you service?

We service North Dallas (Dallas County) and suburbs North of Dallas (Collin County). Highland Park, University Park, Preston Hollow, Lakewood, Kessler Park, Bluffview, Legacy West, Shoal Creek, Lakeside on Preston, Willowbend, Frisco Trails, Chapel Creek, Stonebriar. Lake homes: Lake Fork, Tawakoni, Lake Dallas, Lake LaVon

Doesn’t my alarm company provide the same protection?

Alarm companies only monitor for break-ins or fire. We check for leaks, mold, pests, and other issues that alarms can’t detect—we show up even when your smart devices are offline.

What are your credentials?

We are Certified through the National Home Watch Association, Accredited A+ Rating through the BBB, Bonded & Insured.

Are your services expensive?

Our flat-rate pricing means no surprises—everything is clearly outlined in our Agreement. Unlike traditional property managers who charge 12–14% fees, we offer straightforward, transparent rates that can save you thousands. Plus, we provide a free consultation to discuss your needs and find the best value for the services you want.

Are you a property inspector?

No. We provide ongoing visual inspections to protect your unoccupied home. Property inspectors licensed through TREC are typically involved in real estate transactions. They are also paid high fees as opposed to our flat fee.
